Ranch has nearly 300 acres where you can explore, experience, and enjoy western
life. Whether you choose to explore the ranch by horseback or hiking,
you’ll discover the beauty of Texas Hill Country.
There are
miles of trails on the Ranch with scenic and panoramic views atop plush hillsides
and all around the ranch. Your senses take in the surprises and pleasures of nature
while enjoying the experience and feel of horseback travel. Take a quick view of
our Ranch trail map and identify the trails.
Enjoy our hay wagon rides and share the opportunity to tour the ranch and State Natural Area with a stop to feed the longhorns. You will receive interesting information about the State Natural Park Area as well as about cowboys and their history.
After dinner, enjoy camaraderie with other guests at our nightly campfire. Try your hand at roasting a perfect marshmallow to make your own s’mores. A "Singing Cowboy" may show up and entertain you with favorite songs and stories. Enjoy down home western hospitality.
Adults and children will love our Fossil Pit. We have the equipment for digging up arrowheads, Texas hearts, sea shells and anything else you might discover. Fossils the size of your fist have been discovered around the ranch. Guests are welcome to take all the fossils home you can find!
Bring good walking shoes and explore the ranch. Maps of the trails are located in the office. Climb atop the hills for a breathtaking view or visit any of the other points of interest on the map. Self guided historical tours are available in the office.
We offer a variety of Western entertainment such as trick roper shows, story tellers, and cowboy singers at various times. Many times we have saloon night with Texas Hold ‘em and Black Jack, line dancing and Texas two-step dancing, Dutch oven cooking classes and occasionally, we offer Karaoke……..fun for the entire family!
During warmer months, we often have cookouts at our picnic area or “Wagon Wheel Garden”. Some mornings we may serve a cowboy breakfast cooked outdoors, and our World Famous Trick Roper may join us for breakfast.
Swim in our Junior Olympic size pool. We also have pool floats and offer pool
games for the children. Hang out under the gazebo to relax and watch the fun.
